More changes ahead

These last several weeks have been interesting ones, as we have decided to move to Hawaii. Brent was accepted into the University of Hawaii's program in Computer Science last year, but because of Justin's birth, he decided to defer the offer until this year. We have been talking and praying about this decision, and after visiting two weeks ago, we decided to pursue the move.

Taking a trip with a baby was very different than just traveling with Brent. At times it was tiring, but for the most part, it was really fun. Unlike other vacations, we went

with the idea of moving there, and what it would be like as a home. I look forward to sunshine and beaches, and I am eager for Brent to get into some challenging coursework.

On another note, having Justin in our lives has completely changed everything. He is a delight, and it is hard to imagine how life was without him. He changes everyday, and is growing so fast.
I can't believe he is almost six months old!

Memories

Italy trip

I have been going through my pictures, and have enjoyed looking at this album of Italy. I was able to go over last year to attend a conference. This was the first time I have been back in twenty years. The pictures are made up mostly of places we lived as a family. My brother and I were able to go together, and we were graciously hosted by some friends of ours from language school in Perugia. I feel such a sense of nostalgia when I look at these pictures. I miss Italy so much. It was strange to go back as a tourist knowing I would be returning to the US after such a short time. Tonight I made cookies with Nutella in them, and I remembered how much I enjoyed the simple pleasures. Fortunately, you can find it here! Saturday, we are going up to my brother's house to celebrate a late Thanksgiving, only we will be making homemade tortellini instead of turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!
